Gospel According to Matthew 9:32-38
At that time, a mute man who was possessed by a demon was brought to Jesus. Jesus cast out the demon, and the mute man spoke. The crowds were amazed and said, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel." But the Pharisees said, "He casts out demons by the authority of the prince of demons."
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
✨ Reflection for the day
Jesus not only heals, but He sees the heart. He has compassion on those who suffer, on those who are lost, on those who have no one to proclaim the Truth to them. His gaze is a loving embrace, and His word is a power that liberates.
Today, we too are that weary crowd... and at the same time, we are called to be workers in His harvest. The world needs voices that speak of Christ, hands that heal with tenderness, hearts that are not afraid to love like Him.
🙏 May our hearts burn with the desire to bring Jesus to every corner. Ask the Lord of the harvest and prepare to be sent.
